I had an exam on modern China last Friday. I answered three questions: on the key factors determining the Sino-Japanese relationship in the past 20 years; on how the Chinese courts handle human rights questions; and on the economic legacy of the Cultural Revolution.
Exams aside, I am now more worried about how I'm supposed to pay my rent in the months to come. Finding a job isn't made easier by the fact that my British phone is now completely dead.
Upsides of the week include that I sent away 5 job applications for jobs in Newcastle. I'm looking for jobs mainly in the recruitment sector or in policy research. I also finished filling in a very complicated application for a seriously competitive journalist training course back in Finland. Let's see what happens.
